As retirement approaches, I can’t help but wonder what I’ll do with all my free time once I break free from the daily grind. One thing’s for sure, I won’t be just sitting around waiting for the reaper. Nope, I plan on living life to the fullest and growing old in the most rebellious and fun way possible.
So here’s the deal… I tried really hard to fit into this so-called “normal” lifestyle that society expects from us. You know, going to religious services, getting a fancy education, landing a regular 9 to 5 job to support a spouse and raise some kids. Oh, and let’s not forget about getting a mortgage for a house and a loan for a snazzy car. And of course, taking a nice vacation every year and staying healthy until we peacefully kick the bucket. Apparently, if you manage to do all that, you’ll be labeled as successful. It’s like that old song from 1962, Little Boxes, brilliantly captures this whole ridiculous situation. Can you believe it?
Dude, do you think we’ve been totally brainwashed into buying into this whole “dream” they’ve been selling us? Like, is this modern-day slavery just to make the rich even richer? It’s messed up, man.
I really wanted that dream, you know? I was craving a sweet soundtrack like “Our House” by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. It’s a vibe, man! Check it out: Our House.
So yeah, I’m gonna retire with no place or stuff of my own, not responsible for anyone but me, just a few things, and a small budget.

Unfortunately, my daughters Sam and Chris (who are now in their thirties) don’t have a safety net in terms of a family home. In other words, they don’t have a place to call home or rely on if things go wrong. But regardless of what happens, I will always welcome them with open arms and show them love, no matter where I am.
Well, here’s the deal. I totally messed up my retirement plan and now I gotta come up with a Plan B. I don’t have much money, but I do have my health and a burning desire to explore the world. No ties to hold me back, just me and my cozy little home on a Sailing Yacht. I’m gonna sail around, experiencing different places and cultures, and I’ll be sharing all the adventures on my YouTube channel called Viva la Vida, Explore… Oh, and you can also find me on Facebook and Instagram. Come along for the ride!
Sure thing! So, I’m gonna spill the beans on my wild past in this blog. From apartheid to ex-wives, drugs, booze, and even shady lawyers, you name it, I’ll talk about it. And hey, there might be some exaggerated storytelling for that extra punch. But don’t worry, I’ll also share the good times and thrilling moments. Stay tuned for my epic tales!
Yo, check this out!
Footnote: I just wanna live my life on this earth without all the freaking bullshit, man.
